DELHI ATTRACTIONS

Lotus Temple (Bahai House of worship): Notable for its flowerlike shape. It has won numerous architectural awards and been featured in hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles.

Qutab Minar: Is the tallest brink minaret in the world and second highest Minar in India. Qutab Minar, along with the ancient and medieval monuments surrounding it forms the Qutab Complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Red Fort (world heritage site): Was the residence of the Mughal Emperor for nearly 200 years, until 1857. The Red Fort is named for its massive enclosing walls of red sandstone.

Rajghat: Is a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation. It is a black marble platform that marks the spot of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation on 31st January, 1948 a day after his assassination. It is left open to the sky while an eternal flame burns perpetually at one end.

India Gate (All India War Memorial): Located astride the Rajpath, formerly called Kingsway. It is a memorial to 82,000 soldiers of the undivided Indian Army who died in the period 1914-21in the First World War, are inscribed on the gate.

Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum (former Prime Minister House), and drive pass by Parliament House & Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Swaminarayan Akshardham Mandir (Temple): Hailed as an eternal place of devotion, purity and peace. The temple is a tribute to Bhagwan Swaminarayan (1781-1830), the avatars, devas and great sages of Hinduism. This spiritual-cultural campus located in outskirt of Delhi on the banks of Yamuna, displays millennia of traditional Hindu and Indian Culture, spirituality and architecture. The traditionally-styled complex was inaugurated on 6 November 2005 with the blessings of HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj and through the devoted efforts of skilled artisans and volunteers. This temple attracts approximately 70 percent of all tourists who visit Delhi.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Check-out at the hotel early morning and proceed to Agra, the land of Taj Mahal. Visit Taj Mahal (the seventh wonder of the world), Sikandra Fort to see famous Akbar’s Tomb and Agra Fort (world heritage site) etc. By Evening drive back to Delhi and overnight Stay at Hotel.

Sikandara Fort: The Tomb of Akbar the Great is an important Mughal masterpiece, built in 1605–1613, set in 48 Ha (119 acres) of grounds in Sikandra, a suburb of Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. Akbar was one of the greatest emperors in the history of India.

Agra Fort: Agra Fort is the former imperial residence of the Mughal Dynasty located in Agra, India. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is about 2.5 km northwest of its more famous sister monument, the Taj Mahal. The fort can be more accurately described as a walled city.
