Lotus Temple (Bahai House of worship): Notable for its flowerlike shape. It has won numerous architectural awards and been featured in hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles.
Qutab Minar: Is the tallest brink minaret in the world and second highest minar in India. Qutab Minar, along with the ancient and medieval monuments surrounding it forms the Qutab Complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Red Fort (world heritage site): Was the residence of the Mughal Emperor for nearly 200 years, until 1857. The Red Fort is named for its massive enclosing walls of red sandstone.
Rajghat: Is a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation. It is a black marble platform that marks the spot of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation on 31st January, 1948 a day after his assassination. It is left open to the sky while an eternal flame burns perpetually at one end.
India Gate (All India War Memorial): Located astride the Rajpath, formerly called Kingsway. It is a memorial to 82,000 soldiers of the undivided Indian Army who died in the period 1914-21in the First World War, are inscribed on the gate.
