Delhi Arrival

Welcome to New Delhi, the capital city of India which is famous for its historical, cultural, religious, and heritage sites. Our representatives/driver will meet you and help you to transfer to the hotel booked for you. Check-In at hotel. and spend some time in leisure and later proceed for Delhi Sightseeing. This day’s Sightseeing will depend upon your arrival.

 

DELHI ATTRACTIONS

Lotus Temple (Bahai House of worship): Notable for its flowerlike shape. It has won numerous architectural awards and been featured in hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles.

 

Qutab Minar: Is the tallest brink minaret in the world and second highest Minar in India. Qutab Minar, along with the ancient and medieval monuments surrounding it forms the Qutab Complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

 

Red Fort (world heritage site): Was the residence of the Mughal Emperor for nearly 200 years, until 1857.  The Red Fort is named for its massive enclosing walls of red sandstone.

 

Rajghat:  Is a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation.  It is a black marble platform that marks the spot of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation on 31st January, 1948 a day after his assassination.  It is left open to the sky while an eternal flame burns perpetually at one end.

 

India Gate (All India War Memorial): Located astride the Raj path, formerly called Kingsway.  It is a memorial to 82,000 soldiers of the undivided Indian Army who died in the period 1914-21in the First World War, are inscribed on the gate & drive pass by Parliament House & Rashtrapati Bhawan. Evening return back to Delhi hotel & overnight stay.

Delhi – Agra (Distance – 240 Km/3 – 4 Hrs.) – Jaipur

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Check-out at the hotel early morning and proceed to Agra, the land of Taj Mahal. AGRA ATTRACTIONS

Taj Mahal: Standing majestically on the banks of River Yamuna, the Taj Mahal is synonymous to love and romance. The name “Taj Mahal” was derived from the name of Shah Jahan’s wife, Mumtaz Mahal, and means “Crown Palace”. The purity of the white marble, the exquisite ornamentation, precious gemstones used and its picturesque location, all make a visit to the Taj Mahal gain a place amongst the most sought-after tours in the world. However, until you know the love story behind the construction of the Taj Mahal, the beauty of the same would not enliven in your heart and mind and instead would come up as just another beautiful building/monument. Agra Fort: Agra Fort is the former imperial residence of the Mughal Dynasty located in Agra, India. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is about 2.5 km northwest of its more famous sister monument, the Taj Mahal. The fort can be more accurately described as a walled city.

JAIPUR ATTRACTIONS

City Palace:  Located in the heart of the Pink City Jaipur, the City Palace was where the Maharaja reigned from. This palace also includes the famous ‘Chandra Mahal’ and ‘Mubarak Mahal’, and other buildings which form a part of the palace complex. The palace is located towards the northeast side of central Jaipur and has many courtyards and buildings. The palace was built between 1729 and 1732 AD by Sawai Jai Singh II. He ruled in Amer and planned and built the outer walls of the palace and later rulers added to the architecture of this palace. These additions have been known to take place right up to the 20th century. The urban layout of the city of Jaipur was commissioned to Vidyadhar Bhattacharya and Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob. The architectural styles are largely based on a fusion of Rajput, Mughal and European styles. Today, the ‘Chandra Mahal’ has been turned into a museum which is home to unique handcrafted products, various uniforms of the rulers and many more things pertaining to the royal heritage of the City Palace.

 

Jantar Mantar:  These two magical and mysteries words chanting in India by many people in their childhood to fulfil their magical dreams but these words are more than that. The term “Jantar Mantar” literally means “instruments for measuring the harmony of the heavens”. In Jaipur city there are palaces, temples, gardens and ponds they all have their importance in their place but the astronomical observatory established by the king Sawai Jai Singh have International importance. The Jantar Mantar houses various architectural and astrological instruments that have caught the interests of astronomers, historians and architects around the world. It is considered to be one of the largest observatories ever built.

 

The Hawa Mahal: Jaipur is the beautiful many windowed extensions of the City Palace that is said to resemble the honeycomb structure of a bee’s nest. Since the construction of the Hawa Mahal Jaipur in 1799 the building has become the iconic structure of the city and the pink sandstone palace is considered as the finest example of Rajput architecture.

 

Albert Hall Museum: Also known as Central Museum is located in the Ram Niwas Garden.  Ram Niwas Garden is located outside the city wall which is located opposite to the New Gate in Jaipur. Albert Hall is the oldest museum in Jaipur. Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II was responsible for the construction of this museum in the year 1868, when King Edward the Prince of Wales visited India. Maharaja Ram Singh wanted that this building should be a town hall, but his successor wants that this should be museum, which should be known for the art of Jaipur.

 

Birla Mandir: Jaipur, famous for its forts, palaces, monuments and heritage history, houses one of the finest temples in the country. The temple was constructed with white marble and seems to be enveloped in serenity by the Birla’s in 1988, who are responsible for constructing many other famous temples in India. The temple is an abode to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. For this reason, the temple was formerly known as Lakshmi Narayan Temple.

The must watch attractions in Jaipur are: –

Amber Fort, located in Amer (a town with an area of 4 square kilometres (1.5 sq. mi)), 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) from Jaipur.  It is one of the principal tourist attractions in the Jaipur area, located high on a hill. Amber Fort was built by Raja Man Singh I. Amber Fort is known for its artistic style, blending both Hindu and Rajput elements. With its large ramparts, series of gates and cobbled paths, the fort overlooks the Maota Lake, at its forefront which is a magnificent fortress constructed on the top of a hill in the outskirt of the city.

 

The must watch attractions in Delhi are: –

Swaminarayan Akshardham Mandir (Temple): Hailed as an eternal place of devotion, purity and peace. The temple is a tribute to Bhagwan Swaminarayan (1781-1830), the avatars, devas and great sages of Hinduism.  This spiritual-cultural campus located in outskirt of Delhi on the banks of Yamuna, displays millennia of traditional Hindu and Indian Culture, spirituality and architecture. The traditionally-styled complex was inaugurated on 6 November 2005 with the blessings of HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj and through the devoted efforts of skilled artisans and volunteers. This temple attracts approximately 70 percent of all tourists who visit Delhi.
