  • PASHUPATHINATH TEMPLE:

 It means lord of all animals. Pushupathinath is a most sacred place in Nepal. It is located in the banks of Baghmati River. There is an Amazing view of Kathmandu from the top. This place worth a visit during your Nepal trip. It is the largest   Shiva temple in World.

  • SWAYAMBHUNATH TEMPLE

It is also known as the Monkey Temple. There are two entrances for Swayambhunath.   There is a Stupa and many other shrines in the Complex. It is one of the most Scared Buddhist pilgrimage center. Swayambhunath is UNESCO World heritage site.  To reach this place one has to climb 365 Ancient steeps. There is a beautiful sight of city from the hill top.

  • BHUDHA NILKANTHA:

It is also known as Narayanthan temple. The temple is dedicated to lord Vishnu. It is believed   the idol of lord Vishnu is around 1000 year old. The main festival of the temple is when Lord Vishnu, who sleeps on the cosmic ocean during Caturmasya period wakes up on the Haribondhini Ekadashi day in late October or early November. Many devotes   visit the temple during the festival.

  • BOUDHANATH:

It is one of the largest stupa in world. Boudhanath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is an amazing religious place. The place is surrounded by small temples and shops which give a colorful look to this place. The beautiful spinning prayer wheels located in the Complex is   also a mesmerizing sight for any traveler.

POKHARA

Pokhara city is also known as city of Adventure. It is one of the most popular trekking and rafting Starting Point also. It has several beautiful lakes and mountains. Pokhara is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of weather. Pokhara is 200 km away from Kathmandu Best time to visit is between October and April.

PLACES TO VISIT IN POKHARA:

  • PHEWA LAKE:

It is a fresh water lake in Pokhara. It is the second largest lake in Nepal. You can hire  brightly painted wooden  and sail boats in reasonable rate

  • BINDHYABASINI TEMPLE:

It is one of the oldest temples in Pokhara Valley. It is at the height of 3000ft above the sea level. This temple is dedicated to goddess kali. You have to climb few steps to reach this temple but the view from the place simply amazing. If the weather is clear then you can have good view of Annapurna Range.

  • DEVI FALL:

It is also known as Patale Chhango. It is the deepest cave in Asia. During the monsoon season the flow of water sounds like a fierce lion’s roar. The best time to visit Devi fall is monsoon from July to September. During monsoons Devi fall is at its full glory.

  • MANAKAAMANA TEMPLE: The temple is located in Gorkha which is 142 Km from Kathmandu. It is dedicated to goddess Parvati.  Manakkamana is situated at about 1300 meters at a top of a hill. Cable car is operated from Abu Khaireni to the Manakkamana Temple.

CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK:  It is located at the south central part of Nepal. This is the first National park in Nepal. It is close to India Nepal Boarder. Chitwan   National park is UNESCO world heritage site. In Chitwan National park there are many options to have close experience of the wildlife like jeep safari, Elephant safari, jungle walk and Canoe ride. During the visit to National park it is better to avoid bright color clothes this may scare animals so go for off white, white ,grey, black or pastel shades.

  • Always try to carry the photocopies of your travel documents i.e. Passport, Insurance papers etc while travelling and keep your original documents in the safe deposit of your hotel.

Visa Information to Travel in Nepal

Tribhuvan International Airport provides visa on arrival facility, Visa can also be obtained at the nearest Nepal Embassy or Diplomatic Mission. Visa can also be obtained (renewal purposes) at Department of Immigration, Kalikasthan, Kathmandu. A valid passport and one passport -size photo with a light background is required. Immigration Department has not specified the size of the passport-size photo.
Visa can be obtained only through payment of cash in the following currency: Euro, Swiss Franc, Pound Sterling, US Dollar, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, Singapore Dollar and Japanese Yen. Credit card, Indian currency and Nepali currency are not accepted as payment of visa fee. Indian nationals do not need a visa to enter Nepal. Passport is also not mandatory for Indian citizens to enter Nepal they require to show a valid proof of Identity. The border entry points in Nepal are Kakkarvitta, Birgunj, Belhiya, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadi and Mahendranagar in the Nepal-India border and Kodari in the Nepal -China border. Citizens from Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan are not able to obtain the visa on Arrival. They will need to obtain visa from Nepal Embassies or Diplomatic Missions in their respective countries.
